We have Ringnecks laying in a large box.
It is almost too large for them.
They lay in the toe of the boot.

Parrots need wood to chew as they naturally hollow out their nest as they prepare for their hatch.
Place pieces of soft wood such as pine blocks inside the nestbox. This will encourage them to chew on the blocks rather than destroying the nestbox.
We recommend the floor of the box be lined with cardboard to create a rough surface give the babies resistance so they develop their legs properly. Cover the floor with coarse shavings to absorb moisture, then place the chew blocks on the shavings.
